The spacial design of this office features a sweeping transparent wall made of faceted glass panels. Principles of harmonic proportions in scale and volume generate an orchestrated flow within the circuitous path and permit light at every juncture to draw the visitor forward. The trading floor is a semi-elliptical pod, termed ‘The Cranium,’ both for its physical location within the space and for its role as the command center for the operations of the office. The Cranium, theatre-like with its concave wall of monitors, is supported by freestanding racks and surrounds a number of island workstations, which face an unobstructed view of the Hudson River.
